EASY HOMEMADE VEGAN MAYO

There are some things that are super easy to make but we always buy in the shop, mayo or even more vegan mayo! plus the vegan option is expensive in the shop and this one is cheap.


TIPS:


  • Don't over blend

  • Trust the process, more oils means thicker

  • Add plant based milk if its too thick

  • Use a big jug blender that has an opening at the top!

  • Ideally make this after you used your blender for something tasty like a pesto, so you get all the flavours!



INGREDIENTS:


  • Aquafaba - 200 ml

  • Garlic glove - 1-2

  • Oil of choice - 400 ml - for cheapest (Sunflower Oil, or can use EVO Oil, Avo Oil)

  • Lemon Juice - 1/2

  • Salt



METHOD:


  1. In a blender blend on high speed the aquafaba and the garlic gloves.

  2. Turn speed to med.

  3. Drizzle in the oil about 50ml at the time, you do not have to go super slow with the pour.

  4. Add the lemon juice and salt and any extra seasonings you want to add (like wasabi for example)

  5. Blend on med till you reach desired consistency.

  6. Don't over blend as the texture will be very weird, if you did over blend however just had a little plant based milk and stir with a spatula or spoon.
